What We Collect
Scam Spotter does not collect or store personal information. Answers to scam-detection questions are processed locally on your device and are not sent to our servers.
Payment Information
Subscription payments are handled entirely by PayPal. EZ IT LLC does not see, store, or have access to your payment card details. PayPal's privacy policy governs its handling of payment information.
Device Storage
We store only a small amount of data on your device, such as subscription status and your theme preference, using browser or app storage. This data does not leave your device.
Photos & Camera
If you choose to use AI photo analysis, your image is sent securely to our server for the immediate analysis request and is deleted after the response is returned. We do not store, share, retain, or use photos for another purpose.
Third-Party Services
We use OpenAI's API only to analyze scam-related content you submit. Submitted content is not used for advertising. Learn more in OpenAI's Privacy Policy.
Children's Privacy
Scam Spotter is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
Your Rights
You can clear locally stored app data at any time through your browser site data or device app-storage settings. There is no account to delete because Scam Spotter does not create user accounts.

We may update this policy from time to time. The date below reflects the most recent revision. Continuing to use Scam Spotter after a change means you accept the revised policy.
